Rent

I am so glad that I had seen the movie before going to the theater for live performance. Thought the musical and the movie are slightly different, the leading characters and main themes are quite the same. Tonight show’s Mark has a beautiful voice as the actor in the movie. Compare to the actress in the movie, our Mimi is much more wild and powerful on stage. Surprisingly, Maureen Johnson tonight is so extraordinary that I was literally jealous of her talent of singing and acting.

Since listening to “Rent”, the songs have been lingering in my mind. For me, it is an entertaining and profound musical which arouses my emotions and teaches me the meaning of life/love.
