The Lion King

0310-1 0310-2

The costumes and the stage settings of “The Lion King” are incredibly marvelous. There are even giraffes walking on the stage gracefully. Not just that, two elephants played by four people respectively travel right through the audience’s seats.

The “hardware” itself is astonishing. Not to mention the performance. Rafiki the Mandrill has inspiring African voices. She sings so powerfully that I was shocked as she began the opening. The “bad” guy Scar is also legendary. He plays Scar vividly with elegant and snobbish gestures as if he was the Scar in the movie.

It is really surprising to see that the designers can transform the animations into live stage performances. I suppose those who favor the movie would absolutely love the musical at the first sight.
