It was raining cats and dogs this morning. To prevent me from getting too wet, I reschedule my plan to Asian Art Museum. Even though I had my waterproof jacket and shoes with me, I still got wet because of the severe storm. (I am a little upset that my brand-new hiking shoes must have ruined by the terrible rain. I am sure that the inner layer would not be as comfortable as it used to be. What a pity!)
There are many Japanese items in this museum. I was deeply impressed by some of the Japanese artists. The way they painted water ink was very skillful and creative. It is such a pity that there are little Chinese paintings in this museum. I wish those master pieces in National Palace Museum could be presented; in that the foreigners can compare the differences of Japanese and Chinese painting styles.
In the evening, I went to Alamo Square and took pictures of the Victorian houses in the postcards. They are cute and graceful. However, I believe that it must cost a fortune to keep a house like that.
Then, I went to the Japan Town, Union Street and Washington Square for some window shopping. It is really interesting to see various kinds of merchandises in different parts of the city.
