"Ice Princess"

“Ice Princess” is quite inspiring. One girl gives up the admission of Harvard to fulfill her dream as a figure skater.

Casey Carleyle, played by Michelle Trachtenberg, is a high school girl adept at physics. To be admitted to Harvard with scholarship, she has to come up with a scientific project with personal style. As she chooses to observe figure skaters’ practice to formulate the physical descriptions about skating, she finds herself facile with figure skating herself, marching for the glorious moments on ice rink.

I doubt if a high school kid is capable of figuring out such precise and practical formulas. Yet, the friendship with other skaters she has developed throughout the training is really something priceless.

For me, life is not just about competing against each other; triumph earned by the cooperation with other contenders is much above the prize itself.
