Lantern Festival

We had a blizzard today.

The accumulated snow piles are incredible! Still, my Italian friend managed to walk to my apartment and spent her first Lantern Festival with me. I was glad to know that she enjoyed the glutinous rice flour dumplings with sesame very much. Not just that, she also learned some traditional Chinese characters enthusiastically as well.

I’ve even showed her some calligraphers’ works on-line. She told me that she liked the Emperor Hui-tsung’s “Slender Gold”. Guess what! So do I!
