It has rained for three days. The gloomy sky and humid weather remind me of the weather in Taiwan. Sadly!
I window shopped at downtown for one hour or so. There were brand stores and nice department stores along the streets. Yet, while I was there, I felt that I was “lost,” not knowing what I was looking for in the cities since there were no natural trails to follow. (I guess I am really a mountain girl now. Well, I suppose I would feel differently, if I were a rich kid.)
Then, I decided to spend my last day at Seattle walking. I stared from Pike St. at Retail Core and headed east to Broadway at Capitol Hill. Then, I went up all the way to the Roanoke Park and crossed the University Bridge where I saw “boathouses” right above the Lake Union. They are quite different from the ones I have seen at Sausalito. I think that they are more like cottages on fixed decks than houses evolved from boats. Afterwards, I went to UW bookstore for some souvenirs and walked back to Miss P’s house, packing my luggage.
P.S. The fall color is really awesome. Those photos were shot from the University Bridge and University of Washington (west campus near the lake) respectively.
