These days, I find myself distracted from the task of breathing while I do the jogging. I keep tracking how many laps I have completed or wondering how fast I run.
I miss the first day when I could really enjoy jogging for no external reinforces at all, just focusing on inhaling and exhaling. I really want to re-experience the pure happiness of seizing the very moment.
Perhaps I am also poisoned by the common belief: “Society rewards arrivals, not process; destinations not journeys.” (a quote form “The Question of Happiness”, by Tal Ben-Shahar)
