The Trip in White Mountain
A dear friend’s parents invited me to their lodge in White Mountain.
After having a light lunch, we went to the Flume Gorge. It is said that tourists can climb along the gorge in the summer time. Yet, since the gorge is still covered with snow, the wooden staircases along the path had been removed. Therefore, I could only take a picture of the gorge but could not go further to the woods. Walking in the park, I noticed that the White Mountains are mainly composed of granites. It is interesting to discover that the massive granites eroded by the rivers are like the slides in Ice Age 2.
Before we went back to the cottage, we stopped by a spectacular waterfall. I always have been fascinated by the waterfall. Therefore, I was so excited that I literally ran all the way to get closer to it. Pitifully, it was too cold. Otherwise, I really wanted to practice YOGA in front of the waterfall.
After having a delicious dinner prepared by my friend’s Mom, we watched a romantic comedy, Something’s Gotta Give. It was funny for me to see the leading character Erica, played by Diane Keaton, crying over the lost love. (She was really a great actress. I was totally like her.) Yet, watching her crying and screaming on the screen made me laugh and comforted because I realized that I was never alone!
