Frankly speaking, I was a little bit annoyed by the fact I was required to read “The Evolving Self.” However, it turns out that this is one of the best books of psychology I have ever read. Yet, it is also one of the most complicated ones as well.
As far as I am concerned, he author, Robert Kegan, really has done an incredible job integrating psychoanalysis and cognitive-developmentalism. Literally speaking, he proposes a new human developmental theory in the book. Even though I can not fully understand what he has asserted in the book, I have highly appreciated what he has achieved in the field of development psychology.
I strongly recommend people who are interested in being helping profession should read this book. Under the guidance of Robert Kegan, the readers can explore the true inner self thought a brand new route.
