"O" by Cirque Du Soleil

The legendary O, by Cirque Du Soleil, is superb!

While the curtain rises, it is marvelous to see the fantastic aquatic setting. It is not just a pool but more like a giant Jacuzzi with bubbles and color lighting. Not just that, the pool is designed as stages: it can be divided into three sections. The floor of each section lifts and moves down independently.

It is even astonishing to see the whole show. The performers are brilliant. The Duo Trapeze is breathtaking. The two artists’ performance is so outstanding that I am moved into tears. The Contortion is beyond imagination. The performers bend their body to human extremes and pile themselves into even unbelievable gestures altogether. Furthermore, this show even comes with high dives. The high divers jump out of a platform 18 meters above the ground into the smallest section of the pool. The synchronized swimming is also worth mention. They dance so elegantly that I kind of hoping I can learn how to act like that some day. The live band and vocals are also professional. The music really enhances the audience’s involvements.

For me, “O” appears to be the ultimate circus show in the world. The only sweet bitter of tonight’s experience is that this show is the very first circus performance for me! What comes next?
