dual exceptionalities

Because of the course of “Mathematics of Special Needs”, I have to look up into certain articles about this field. While I browsed the internet, one topic caught my eyes: students with giftedness and disabilities. It has been gradually accepted that one individual could have dual exceptionalities.

It reminds me of the fact that I used to exhibit high aptitude in some specific academic areas but was incapable of learning math well. Those articles also indicate that gifted/disabled students need separated/all day programs that focus on enriching their strength and premeditating their weakness.

Ironically, the reason I took this course is because that I wanted to learn math better. I suppose that it would not be a good idea for me to learn math among peers who are math geniuses.
