The "Dam" Tour

I joined Gray Line’s “dam” tour to Hoover Dam this morning.

The Hoover Dam is indeed huge. Officially, it is said 96 people died under construction at the site. There were three shifts working around the clock to achieve this giant civic engineering. The dam not only stores the precious water but also generates electricity. Hoover Dam locates right between Nevada State and Arizona State. It is cool that I can make an “interstate” step and happily announce that I have been to Arizona. (By the way, I have also seen the Grand Canyon on my way to Las Vegas on the plane. It surely is a marvel even from so high above.)

At night, I wanted to watch my favorite circus’ Zumanity at the first place. However, the tickets were sold out. Well, look at the bright side. I had more time to enjoy the free shows along on the Strip anyway. I had watched Sirens of TI and the volcano of the Mirage twice. I took pictures and recorded videos separately. Personally, the fountain show of Bellegio is my favorite. (I appreciate it so much that I have experienced five times of water dances.) The fountain show is spectacular. It is not just grand but also elegant. Not just that, it is also very powerful. The water shot from the tubes hit even higher than the Bellegio Hotel itself. The splashes hit back the artificial lake sound like thunders at night.

P.S. The total two gigabytes SD card ran out within 12 hours today.
