Yosemite Day One

Since I saw the works of Ansel Adams, I had always wanted to see the Yosemite in person. Today, my dream has come true.

The forests in Yosemite are gorgeous. Living in the park is really a “retreat” itself. Pine Arbor Retreat, the cottage we are going to stay for three night, is quite luxury. There is a spacious living room with fireplace. The open kitchen is equipped with all kinds of modern machines. There is even a patio where visitors can grill right in the woods.

After unloading our luggage, we headed to Glacier Point. On our way to the trail, we spotted an awesome motorcycle. It is a Honda, which plays CD and radio through the speakers within the helmet. The owner was happy to see that his baby is highly appreciated. He even let me try on his bike. I was super excited.

As we got to the Glacier Point, there was a ranger doing an evening guide. He was so enthusiastic and funny that almost everyone at the site was entertained. The Half Dome seen from there was quite impressive. It is not just grand but also time-variant. When it is touched by the sunlight, it would simply turn gray into reddish. That was really quite a scene!
